Confernc.exe - A simple, netbios-based network conferencing program.
This software (confernc.exe) introduces a new concept in shareware. I'm
calling it Giftware. You see my son wants us to buy him a Power Wheels
electric Jeep, but we don't have an extra $ 200.00 lying around. So
what I'm doing is putting this software out there so you can try it.
Then I'm asking you to pay any amount you think this simple - yet
effective - conferencing program is worth. All the proceeds I receive
will go toward the purchase of my son's Jeep and, in return for any
registration fee, I'll send you the source code to the program. If your
registration fee is small enough that it will only cover postage and
handling of a disk, I reserve the option to supply the source code to
you via electronic means. If I receive the entire sum required to get
my son his gift, I'll then release the program and its source code into
the public domain.
With the source code you can modify confernc and add any features
that you'd like. (You can remove the pesky registration screen!) The
source code was written to use MSC 6.0, but there is little, if any,
code that won't port easily to other compilers. The program uses
standard netbios calls and also checks to make sure that netbios is
loaded on the target machine before attempting to run. Confernc uses
netbios datagrams to deliver and receive messages on the network.
Send your registration fee to:
